Excercise along with diet is very important to a cat, do emphasise this point to your humans. Always begin each day with a gentle stretch.
Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day along with brunch, elevensies, lunch, afternoon tea, high tea, tea, dinner, supper, light snacks. It is a good idea to try an incorporate excercise along with your meal, it's like killing two birds with one stone so to speak, a good example of this would be catching a bird for breakfast, or a mouse as a light snack, see you have just had some excercise without working up a sweat.
I usually begin my daily excercise routine straight after breakfast, I jump up on the sofa(this burns up about 20-30 calories) and have a nap!
You can burn up calories whilst dreaming as well, imagining you are running and chasing birds, up and down trees all day long, chasing field mice through fields of wheat and barley, oh the enjoyment of it all. The only problem here is you wake up with an appetite.
After a leisurely lunch, back to the sofa to dream again, don't worry you are burning up more calories again. Excercise is good in moderation, as with anything in life not to over indulge is the key to a firm and athletic body, like mine! Of course when I finish excercising it's back to my sofa for a well deserved rest.
